PROVOKEDmagazine: For women who are nowhere near done.

Jill Waldbieser

Jill Waldbieser achieved her lifelong dream of becoming a magazine editor shortly before the collapse of the print publishing industry. She spent a decade as Food & Nutrition Director of Women’s Health, where she fell in love with food, cooking, and test kitchens, then went on to similar roles at The Food Network, Campbell Soup Company, and EverydayHealth.com. Throughout her career, she’s been proud to write about weight loss without making women feel bad about themselves, despite personally lasting just half a day on a juice fast.

Today, Jill generates and edits content on mental and physical health, wellness, fitness, nutrition, travel, and sex for a range of digital publications. While she doesn’t put much stock in industry awards, she considers it a high honor that a profile she wrote for Runner’s World was picked up by Longreads.

In the past five years, she’s been elected to public office, traveled the world, healed a broken heart, become a regular in the boxing ring, and installed her own toilet, and she’s hard-pressed to say which accomplishment tops the list. She considers aging a privilege and looks forward to whatever adventures the next day and the next decade bring.
